The client

The client, a major non-profit health system serving millions of patients across the U.S., faced fragmented data across EMRs, pharmacy systems, remote monitoring platforms, and claims data. This hindered its ability to drive holistic, data-informed patient care and optimize pharmacy operations.

Solution

  • With Calibo’s support, the organization designed an integrated data strategy that brought together ambulatory (McKesson) and specialty (Dromos) pharmacy data into a centralized data lake (“one lake”), structured via Microsoft fabric.
  • A universal data model was implemented for patients and providers, supported by governed ingestion pipelines and real-time exchange frameworks. Dashboards were created to validate data quality, lineage, and inform clinical and operational decision-making.
  • Technologies used: Calibo platform, Microsoft Fabric, Snowflake, EMR/pharmacy Apis, governance frameworks.

Status: in innovation mode.
